Terms of Service

Last updated: May 25, 2026

These terms govern your use of BallotFlow. Creating an account or using the service means you accept them.

1. Your account

You must be at least 13 (16 in the EEA and UK). If you are signing up on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

We authenticate by sending a magic link to your email. Anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you. Secure your inbox.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

2. Running elections

When you create an election on BallotFlow, you are the administrator. We are not. You choose the voting method, verify voter eligibility, communicate with voters, and comply with whatever rules govern the body you are running an election for.

BallotFlow is not for legally binding governmental elections. It is for organizational decisions: club officers, board votes, team choices, community polls.

The open-link path uses cookie dedup and IP rate limiting. A determined voter can clear cookies or switch browsers and vote again. Turning that mode on means accepting that tradeoff.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use BallotFlow to break the law, harm other people (including defamation, harassment, or invasion of privacy), disrupt the service or probe it, circumvent rate limits, scrape data you did not put in, impersonate someone, or send spam.

Severe violations get terminated without notice.

4. Availability and pricing

BallotFlow is provided as-is. We make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We can modify, suspend, or discontinue the service and will give reasonable notice for changes that affect active elections.

BallotFlow is free to use during the soft-launch period. We may introduce paid tiers in the future and will give existing users at least 60 days' notice before any charges apply to features they currently use.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, BallotFlow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill.

Total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of what you paid in the previous twelve months or USD $100.

6. Termination

You can stop using BallotFlow any time. Delete an organization from its settings page. To delete your account, email [email protected].

We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Changes and governing law

We may revise these terms and notify account holders by email for material changes. Continuing to use BallotFlow after a revision is acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, with disputes in the courts of New Jersey.
